The Letter of the Law

Miriam’s toy bus attracted Evan’s attention today. He came over to get a closer look, too close for Miriam. She whipped around and blocked his view with her shoulder yelling “GO WAY!!”

The reprimand was, “Miriam you need to talk nicely to Evan.”

So she turned to face him with a sweet smile on her face, changed to a soft pleasant tone and said “Ebbie, go away.”
