Bulls vs Bobcats

Simon and I were invited to watch the Chicago Bulls last night with our friends Holli and Chandren. The Bulls were horrible but we still had a great time. Chandran bought Simon a new bulls hat and Simon thought it was the coolest thing (which is kinda obvious from his smile). We were all starving when we got there and we had some good old Chicago hot dogs, fries and chocolate ice cream. I didn’t feel so hot after all that ice cream but it didn’t seem to phase Simon at all.

One thing that struck me was when I took Simon to the bathroom towards the middle of the game. As we were washing our hands, Simon was talking like crazy looking in the mirror telling me how cool his hat was. I wasn’t paying much attention cause I was washing my hands and I hear someone say “I can’t wait” but I didn’t really notice who this person was talking to or why they were even saying it. Then I felt this tap on my shoulder and I turned to see this guy about my age with a big smile on his face looking at Simon and he said again “I can’t wait”. I replied “Yeah, it’s pretty awesome” and he turned around and headed off to the game.

I tend to lose track of just how awesome of a gift Simon and Miriam are. It was nice to be reminded again so I could soak up our time together before the night was over.
